Copycat Chipotle Black Beans

With the right recipe, Black Beans are soooo good. This Perfectly Imperfect recipe is super easy and will have you making it over and over again. Skip the Chipotle line and serve your family this dish homemade and in less than 15 minutes!!


PREP TIME: 0 minutes

COOK TIME: 10 minutes

SERVINGS: makes 2 Cups

ingredients

  • 1 TBSP Avocado Oil (or any high heat Oil of your choice)
  • 2 cans Black Beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 cup Vegetable Stock (or Chicken or Beef if not vegetarian)
  • 1 TSP Chili Powder
  • 1/2 TSP Cumin
  • 1/4 TSP Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 TSP Allspice or Nutmeg
  • 1/2 TSP Agave or Honey
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

instructions

  1. Heat Oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add Beans and saute about 3 minutes.
  2. Pour in Stock and add remaining ingredients. Stir. Decrease heat to medium and simmer until liquid is absorbed (about 5 minutes.)
  3. Season with salt and Pepper to taste and ENJOY!!
