These meatballs are crazy good! They bake for only 15 minutes and are so easy to make. The flavors compliment so well, making them a true competitor for traditional style meatballs; not to mention very Perfectly Imperfect! Serve them with toothpicks as an appetizer or over rice, vegetables, or Asian style noodles.
PREP TIME: 10-15 minutes
COOK TIME: 20 minutes
MAKES 15 MEATBALLS
ingredients
Meatballs
1 lb ground Turkey
1/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
3 Garlic Cloves (grated)
1 in. piece Ginger (grated)
1/2 Onion (minced)
1/4 cup Basil (finely chopped)
1 1/2 TBSP Soy Sauce
few dashes Fish Sauce (optional)
Sauce
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1 tsp Ginger (grated)
2 TSP Agave Nectar or Honey
juice of 1/2 Lime
1/4 cup Cilantro (finely chopped)
instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix all Meatball ingredients into a large bowl and form into golf-ball size balls.
Cover baking pan with Parchment paper and place Meatballs at least 1 in. apart.
Bake for 15 minutes.
While the Meatballs are baking, add Sauce ingredients (except Cilantro) to a small bowl. Stir to combine.
Heat 1 TSP high heat Oil in a large pan over medium heat.
AddMeatballs and brown for 3-5 minutes.
Pour in Sauce and allow it to thicken while spooning over the Meatballs.
Topwith Cilantro and serve.
