Flank Steak with Shishito Peppers

This Flank Steak recipe is fool proof and fantastic! It is Perfectly Imperfect with only a few steps, is ready in 20 minutes, and is absolutely delicious. Serve the Steak and Peppers on their own, or make them into tacos, serve over rice, quinoa, potatoes, or even as a hearty sandwich!!


PREP TIME: 5 minutes

COOK TIME: 20 minutes

SERVINGS: 3-5 (depending on how you serve them)

  1. Generously cover the entire Steak with Kosher Salt and let sit. (You can do this step 10 minutes – 24 hours ahead of time. If doing hours or the day before, wrap the steak in plastic wrap, after salting, and keep in the refrigerator.)
  2. Turn on Broiler to high and make sure the top rack is about 5 inches away from the heat.
  3. Mix Olive Oil, Garlic, and Pepper in a small bowl. Brush or spoon onto the Steak on both sides.
  4. Place Steak directly under the heat source and broil 4 minutes per side for Medium-Rare. (I did 5 min and 4 min and mine came about med-rare in the center and medium towards the ends.)
  5. Let the Steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to reconstitute throughout. Then slice against the grain to the thickness of your liking.
  6. Serve with Shishito Peppers and ENJOY!!
